TEST OF TIME

Sunrise in the garden of Eden.

Mankind’s apple’s eaten.

On the road to destiny

The Good Book we’re questioning.

High noon in the dark of ages.

Stagnant mind while the body ages.

Prophets live and Prophets die.

Mankind is still asking why.

So it is written.

So it is done.

Afternoons hot sun’s a blaze.

Search to find the other ways.

Live our lives and all is well,

so we thought till our armies fell.

I turn the page.

Under my thumb.

So it is written.

So it is done.

Darkness creeps upon the horizon.

Whispered words and tails of lying.

Chosen one that we shall see.

Keeper of false prophecy.

Sunset with the world wars raging.

Mankind’s soul is fading.

Twilight, or God has risen.

This time he’s not as forgiving.

I turn the page.

Under my thumb.

So it is written.

So it is done.
